Kjell Nilsson是瑞典隆德大学社会学教授，主要研究经济社会学、社会政策、组织社会学、全球化和社会改革、高等教育的国际化等。他曾与Jan Olof Nilsson教授多次合作主持研究项目，如西欧50多个大学参加的“国际化、信息和合作技术”项目，欧盟的“比较的欧洲视角中的转变”项目等，并多次来到中国主持多个合作项目，如2004年起与复旦大学的举办的一系列会议、讲座和课程，并参加杭州、香港、台湾等地举办的多次学术会议等。本学期的“欧洲政治、经济与社会专题研究”课程是由欧洲大学中心与北京大学欧洲研究中心合作开设，这两位教授即欧洲大学中心的该项目负责人。
Professor Kjell Nilsson is from Lund University, mainly focused on the research in economic sociology, social policy, sociology of organizations, globalization & social transformation, internationalization of higher education, etc. Jan Olof Nilsson and him have organized many research projects together, such as “Internationalisation and Information and Communication Technology” for the Santander group of universities (a network of around 50 Western European universities), an EU/Socrates-Minerva project - “Transformation in a Comparative European Perspective”. Meanwhile, they also came to China to coordinated many cooperation programs, such as a series of lecture, conference and course co-organised with Fudan University since 2004, several times of academic conference held in Hangzhou, Hong Kong and Taiwan. “Special Study on European Politics, Economy and Society” in this semester is co-organised by European University Centre and Centre for European Studies of Peking University. Prof. Olof and Prof. Kjell are directors on this program in European University Centre.
