欧洲研究的博士专业
2004年，一个在“欧洲研究”项目下的新博士专业已经被列入了北京大学博士专业单。本中心被授权每年招收4名博士生。依据北京大学的研究生培养体制，学生要求4年内完成其博士学位的攻读。除了由中国和受邀的欧洲教授进行个人督导，这些教授仍发展了以下一些高级多学科交叉的课程供学生选择：欧洲研究的方法论，欧洲研究和考证，欧洲一体化重要事项研讨班，以及欧洲文化和历史高级研讨班。
欧洲研究的硕士专业
2004年9月，本中心开始接受欧洲研究的第一批硕士研究生。第一年我们在“欧洲研究”项目下招收了7名学生。该专业由5个基础必修核心课程构成：欧洲研究方法论，欧洲政体和政治学，欧洲经济一体化，欧盟法和欧洲一体化的历史研究。该专业同时包括一系列非必修课程：欧洲一体化的政治思想，欧盟的多级管理，欧洲宪法和宪法思想，民族认同和欧盟一体化的规范化，欧洲竞争政策，欧洲社会和就业政策，经济和货币联盟与欧洲，欧洲对外关系，欧洲环境政策和法律，社会、文化和政治视角的欧洲一体化，欧洲对外安全政策，国际政治经济学：欧洲和世界，以及欧洲贸易法——WTO。硕士研究生将研修上述5门基本必修课程和至少5门选修课程。在成功完成所有计划后，将获得北京大学欧洲研究硕士学位。
学术交流计划
为了加强研究生培养的质量以及理论和政策研究，本中心和欧洲一些主要高校建立发展了制度化的伙伴关系。我们的欧洲合作伙伴——协助硕士高级课程和博士课程进展，并参与研究计划和提供公共讲座——在欧洲研究的重要课程教学中起着重要的作用，这些课程目前未由我方教师承担。欧洲合作伙伴对我方研究人员及硕士、博士的访学活动也带来便利。因此，我们的学者和学生拥有了在欧洲高校展开研究和学习相关课程的机会。
Ph.D. program on European Studies
Starting from 2004, a new Ph.D. programme under the category of “European Studies” has been put on the list of Peking University Ph.D. programmes. The Centre has been granted quotes to recruited 4 Ph.D. students each year. According to the graduate student system at PKU, student will stay 4 years to complete the Ph.D. degree. Apart from individualised supervision by Chinese and invited European professors, these professors have also developed the following advanced interdisciplinary courses specially for the Ph.D. programme: Methodology in European Studies, Research and Documentation in European Studies, Interdisciplinary Seminar on important issues of European Integration, and Advanced seminar on European culture and history.
M.A. program on European studies
Starting from September 2004, the Centre began to receive the first group of M.A. students on European Studies. We recruited 7 in the first year under the title of “European Studies”. The programme consists of 5 basic compulsory core courses: Methodology of European studies, European polity and politics, European economic integration, European Union law, and History of European integration. The program also consists of a number of non-compulsory courses including Political thoughts of European integration, Multi-level governance in the EU, European constitution and constitutional thought, National identity and normative integration of EU, European competition policy, European social and employment policy, EMU and Euro, European external relations, European environmental policy and law, Social, cultural and political perspectives of European integration, European foreign and security policy, International political economy: Europe and the world, Comparative political economy: Europe and Asia, and European trade law—WTO. M.A. students will take the above-mentioned 5 basic compulsory courses and at least 5 of the above optional courses. After successful completion of the programme, they will receive a M.A. degree in European Studies from PKU.
Academic Exchange Program
In order to enhance the quality for graduate students training and for academic and policy researches, the Centre has been developing institutionalised partnership with a number of leading European universities. Our European partners are playing significant roles in teaching important courses of European studies, which are not yet offered by our faculties, in assisting curriculum development for advanced M.A. and Ph.D. courses, and in participating in research projects and giving public lectures. Our European partners are also facilitating the visits of our faculty members and M.A. and Ph.D. students. Thus, our scholars and students also have opportunities to conduct research and take courses in European universities.
